Why Manu
The Manumea holds a special place in Samoa’s natural and cultural landscape. More than a bird, it represents responsibility — to land, to heritage, and to future generations.
Today, the Manumea is a critically endangered species, making awareness and conservation especially important. We recognise the important work being done by organisations such as Samoa Conservation Society, who help protect native wildlife and raise awareness across Samoa.
Any creative interpretation inspired by the Manumea must begin with understanding, humility, and respect.
Manu exists to honour that significance.
